Mike Goossen has spent over 30 years working in the business community of Fresno County. He is a graduate of Fresno State and has been a CPA since 1986.

Mike began his career as a financial auditor and management consultant with a local CPA firm working with a diverse set of clients of privately held small businesses, large corporations and various non-profit organizations. Early in his career he spent twelve years with the Central California Blood Center. He started as the controller and ended his time there as the CEO. When he started with the Blood Center, the Blood Center was in significant financial trouble and with the help of the board of directors and the management team, they were able to turn the entity around and when he resigned his position as CEO, the Central California Blood Center was in excellent condition and continues its success today.

During those twelve years, Mike discovered that he enjoyed helping good businesses become great and had the opportunity to learn the skill of training others to succeed. Since 1999 he has been doing just that. Mike has worked with several local businesses and non-profits helping them succeed financially and operationally. Mike was a faculty member with the Central Valley Business Incubator working with entrepreneurs with big dreams. He has helped several get off the ground. He has also had the opportunity to help existing small business owners better understand their business and solidify their financial situations. The non-profit industry has called on Mike for help as well. Non-profits are unique in their approach and requirements for financial management and operations, their needs fit well with Mike’s experience and expertise.
